JAMES STEWART KEENE RETURNS TO COUNTRY ROCK RADIO WITH HIS NEW SINGLE
‘DOUBLE DENIM’
After his successful pursuits in the film business in recent years, country rocker James Stewart Keene returns to his musical roots with the blistering and infectious new single Double Denim. This toe-tapping song pulls no punches with its catchy melody, lyrics and crunching guitars which James has made his own throughout his career.
This is the first track James has self-produced since his debut album The Navigator in 2014, and he has enlisted the best session players to perform on it, including Rudy Miranda (drums), Ian Lees (Bass Guitar) and fellow CS Management stable artist Chris Staff (Lead Guitar). Michael Carpenter (formerly of Love Hz Studios) put the icing on the cake with his contemporary mix.
Double Denim is a song for the ladies that like to wear their double denim blue! Inspired by his recent move to Dubbo NSW, James said the idea for the song came pretty quickly.
“I was sitting in a up-market cafe in Dubbo after having recently moved up there, and I was watching the patrons this particular morning wearing lots of denim and plaid. The chorus just popped into my head. I had to write it down instantly”, James said.
And what a song it became! Double Denim sits comfortably among a wide range of radio programming, from contemporary country, rock and pop formats. It rightly belongs alongside artists such as Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Randy Houser or Adam Eckersley Band in any playlist.
James has also been busy directing his own clip and he has cleverly captured the essence of the ladies having a great night out in their favourite fashion!!
